The internet doesn’t give us a lot of safe spaces to freely and openly express our kinks without much judgment.

That’s what BDSMLR is for. It’s an online space where you can easily share things you’d find difficult talking about elsewhere. 

But BDSMLR needs your help. 

As you all know, we’ve been relying on ads to help us generate revenue to shoulder the cost of keeping this community online. We know many of you don’t like ads. Truth is we’re not huge fans of them either. We put a lot of time and energy into trying to strike a balance between creating a good user experience and choosing ads that don’t turn off our cherished and loyal community members. 

The reality is BDSMLR isn’t even breaking even. The expenses of running this community is far greater than what we’re making from ads. BDSMLR is a labor of love and we want to keep it alive because it’s one of the last few places on the Internet where no one’s going to shut you down for your desires. 

So we want to reach out to the community to help us cover the cost of running BDSMLR and invest in future improvements. 

We’d like to (re)introduce premium accounts 

We’ve had them for awhile but the link to upgrade was pretty hard to find. Now, on the upper right corner of your screen, you can see a pretty good-looking Get BDSMLR Premium button that will let you upgrade to a premium account for a month. 

For the price of a small bottle of lube every month, you get to: 

• Remove all annoying ads 

• Help keep BDSMLR alive 

We’d also love to add more features to enhance the premium experience, so we’d be happy to hear from you about what you’d like to see when you upgrade. 

It would be great for us to be able to keep BDSMLR running. We’d also love to be able to invest in building a better user experience for you, so that the community remains intact and you get to keep this space where you’re free to be yourself, glorious kinks, fetishes, and all.

Here’s how to subscribe to premium

1. Click the Get BDSMLR Premium button on top of the right sidebar.. This will take you to the shop page.. 

2. Choose BDSMLR Premium, 1 Month. This will take you to the product page. 

Alternatively, you can opt for BDSMLR Premium, 1 Month + Community Support Donation. Simply click that item in the shop, enter the amount you wish to donate and head on over to the next steps.

3. On the product page, click Add to Cart. 

4. On your cart, click Proceed to Checkout. 

5. On the checkout page, enter your billing details on the left. 

6. Choose your payment method on the right. We currently accept cryptocurrency payments because they’re safe, easy, and reliable. We’re also working on adding other payment methods, including credit cards and bank transfers, so look out for that. Click Proceed to Coinbase. This will take you to your Coinbase account. 

7. Click Pay with Coinbase. If you don’t have a Coinbase account, you’ll need to create one and deposit funds into your account. Here are the instructions for how to do that.

8. You can use another web3 wallet to pay for your upgrade. Select the cryptocurrency of your choice, copy the address and amount and use your existing wallet to send the payment.
