Ever since Tumblr wiped out all adult content in 2018, most NSFW bloggers flocked to BDSMLR in search of a new home, making this platform the place to be for BDSM-themed sexually explicit material. Today, we’re a growing community of over half a million monthly users.

But we know we’re nowhere near the giant Tumblr is. To get to that level of functionality, we’ll need additional funds to do more than just keep BDSMLR in operation. If you haven’t already heard, we have reintroduced our premium accounts in the past month in hopes of covering the cost of running the platform. 

Since then, lots of users have gone on to subscribe for the love of the community. On our end, we’re also in the process of adding more payment options, including credit cards, bank transfers, and CashApp in the near future.

As much as we encourage our members to switch to premium for the sole purpose of supporting this community, we want you to do it only if you feel that it is an upgrade worth having. We know there are still a lot of features to build and improve on to enhance the premium experience—which is why we need your help.

No one likes the inconvenience of ads—we know that much. Everyone wants to browse porn in peace. This is why for the same price as a bottle of lube, you get to subscribe to premium, which will remove ads from the platform for a whole month. It’s a small price to pay for the freedom of sexual expression and love of the community. But if the removal of ads isn’t enough for you to upgrade, then tell us what will.
